When I worked in the corporate IT world, I loved training and supporting my clients because I’m a problem solver. However, I didn’t have control of my time. I felt like I was missing out. I wanted to enjoy spending more time with my 3 boys and husband and still provide some financial support so I decided to start my own business. However, I quickly realized I did not have the resources or know enough people to be successful. I felt overwhelmed and stuck. I needed to figure out where and how to network. Nervously, since I didn’t like to speak in public, I went to my 1st networking event on 9/11/01 (yes that 911). I’m not sure why but I felt compelled to return the following week which started my journey to becoming a Master Connector.

I was struggling to find the right place to network (There are so many), what to say and do at events, and how to effectively follow-up with all of those business cards that I had collected.

Now, years later, people say I’m the Networking Queen and I know everyone. Well, not everyone but I’m working on it. I educate people on the different types of groups out there and which ones would be best for them and I develop customized follow-up systems in order to turn those business cards into cash and valued relationships.
